A Look at What’s New

Our 2015-2016 Catalog of Grasses included several new selections. Get a look at these snazzy, summer additions to our lineup.

Festuca glauca Beyond Blue
Festuca glauca Beyond Blue (‘Casca11’) PP23307 stands out among Blue Fescue cultivars. Its super bright foliage stays true blue throughout the season.
Eragrostis 'Wind Dancer'
Eragrostis elliottii ‘Wind Dancer’ has slender, arching stems topped with delicate, cloudlike panicles that shimmer in the breeze. A fabulous North American native grass that stands up to drought and prevents erosion.
Miscanthus sinensis 'Gold Breeze'
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gold Breeze’ PP 22311 shows off with vibrant color and a dense, upright habit. Shorter and tighter than parent ‘Strictus’, it also flowers a bit later. Super-striped and showy.
Panicum virgatum 'Cape Breeze'
Panicum virgatum ‘Cape Breeze’ PP24895 is a dense, compact Switchgrass with an abundance of plumes. It powers through drought, poor soil, and tough conditions. It blooms earlier in the season and stays green later into fall than other Switchgrasses.
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everdi’
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everdi’ PPAF comes from the EverColor® series of sedges. Its green foliage highlights its small, intricate, spring blooms. ‘Everdi’ makes a sophisticated “spiller” for containers and a lush background for shade plantings.
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everlime’
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everlime’ PPAF wears vivid, beautiful greens. A deep green center is flanked by lime margins. We love the tone-on-tone effect, which is especially striking with flowering plants in mixed containers. One of the EverColor® series of sedges.
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everoro’
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everoro’ PP23406 is somewhat similar to the well-loved C. oshimensis ‘Evergold’. However, this selection from the EverColor® series is a more vigorous grower with brighter, bolder color.
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Eversheen’
Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Eversheen’ PPAF turns up the volume on stripes, with a lime yellow center and deep green margins. A bright addition to shade gardens and a great complement to Hosta and other broad-leaved perennials.
