The Fabulous EverColor® Sedges

EverColorR-Logo---PNG_croppedYear-round color and a smashingly smart habit. That’s what EverColor® sedges bring to the party. We are thrilled to offer Everest, Everillo, Eversheen, Everlime, Everdi, and ‘Everoro’ from the series.

Pat Fitzgerald, of Fitzgerald Nurseries, Ltd. in Ireland, developed this fun series out of old favorite, C. oshimensis ‘Evergold’. What do we love about EverColor®?

  • Year-round color
  • Smart, stylish habit
  • Outstanding in containers
  • Bright groundcover for shade
  • Vigorous but well-behaved

Let us introduce you to these fabulous selections…

Carex oshimensis 'Eversheen' PPAF

Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Eversheen’ PPAF

‘Eversheen’ turns up the volume on stripes, with a lime yellow center and deep green margins. A bright addition to shade gardens and a great complement to Hosta and other broad-leaved perennials. Gives great color during winter months.

Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everlime’ PPAF

‘Everlime’ wears vivid, beautiful greens. A deep green center is flanked by lime margins. We love the tone-on-tone effect, which is especially striking with flowering plants in mixed containers. Winner of a Bronze Medal at Plantarium 2013 in Boskoop, Netherlands.

Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everdi’ PPAF

‘Everdi’ has glossy green blades and the full, arching habit of the series. The green foliage highlights the small, but intricate, inflorescences that appear in spring. ‘Everdi’ makes a sophisticated “spiller” for container plantings and a lush background for shade plantings.

Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everillo’ PP21002

‘Everillo’ sports lime green foliage that progresses to a bright, golden yellow. Everillo Sedge adds a burst of color to mixed container plantings, garden beds, and borders, especially in winter months. ‘Everillo’ won a Bronze Medal at Plantarium 2010 in Boskoop, Netherlands.

Carex oshimensis EverColor® Everest (‘Carfit01’ PP20955)

‘Everest’ wears snow-white edges with a green center. More vivid and vigorous than its ‘Evergold’ parent, Everest Sedge shares its beautiful habit. It forms a neat mound of foliage that arches up from the crown and weeps gracefully. Everest was the winner of the Silver Medal at the Plantarium 2008 in Boskoop, Netherlands.

Carex oshimensis EverColor® ‘Everoro’
While somewhat similar to the well-loved C. oshimensis ‘Evergold’, this selection from the EverColor® series is a more vigorous grower and has brighter, bolder color. Its distinctive leaves, gold bordered by deep green, make ‘Everoro’ a must-have for decorative containers. Grows into a neat mound of arching foliage and maintains its coloring.

With all selections of the EverColor® series, propagation is prohibited without a license.
