Horticulture Industry Magazine Selects Magan Agee to Prestigious 40 Under 40 Class of 2015
Agee joins a group that’s on the move and getting notice in the industry.
Rougemont, NC (May 29, 2015) — GPN (Greenhouse Product News), a leading business publication for horticulture professionals, recently named Magan Agee, Director of Sales for Hoffman Nursery, Inc. as an honoree in its 40 Under 40 Class of 2015.
Class members were nominated by their horticulture/floriculture industry peers, based on personal and professional accomplishments. Magan Agee is one of 40 trailblazers under the age of 40 who exemplifies superior leadership, creativity, innovative thinking and accomplishments in and outside the horticulture field.
“The 40 individuals in this year’s class represent all facets of horticulture, but they all have one thing in common,” says GPN Editorial Director Tim Hodson. “They are the pioneers for the future of our industry.”
Agee has worked for Hoffman Nursery, Inc., based in Rougemont, North Carolina, since 2009. She served as Sales & Customer Service Coordinator and was named Director of Sales in 2014. In that time, she improved and updated internal office processes to be nearly paperless. She also developed and implemented seasonal and customer-targeted sales strategies for the sales team that helped increase sales.
While working at the nursery, Magan is pursuing a degree at North Carolina State University in Agricultural Business Management. In addition to her work accomplishments, Magan is also active in the community. She’s a member and volunteer of the Roxboro Jaycees (Junior Chamber) chapter and plays on a local softball team.
The 25 men and 15 women in the Class of 2015 are being recognized in GPN’s May issue, online at www.gpnmag.com/40-under-40, and at a special reception during Cultivate’15, a horticulture trade show in Columbus, Ohio, in July.
The 40 Under 40 2015 sponsors include: AmericanHort, BioWorks, Fine, HGTV Home Plant Collection, Nexus Greenhouse Systems, Nufarm, Dümmen Orange, and Proven Winners.
