DISCONTINUED - A compact, Little Bluestem, Schizachyrium scoparium ‘Prairie Munchkin’ is flop-free. It grows in a tight column and remains erect. Its coloring differs from other Little Bluestems, starting off with celery-green foliage and maturing into deep silver-blue with maroon highlights. The show continues in autumn with deep orange-red hues. It is the perfect complement to native plantings, highways, commercial landscapes and home gardens. Dwarf Little Bluestem reaches two feet, 2.5 feet when delicate flowers appear in the fall. Plant it in areas of low fertility and in well-drained soil. Needs very little care. This patented Little Bluestem cutiepie was discovered by Don Boehm of Illinois.
