35th Perennial Plant Symposium

July 23-28, 2017; Denver, CO

The only yearly symposium devoted to perennials, this event brings together plant people from all over. Days filled with educational sessions, tours, and sparkling conversation—it's a plant lover's dream. It's the premiere place to network and learn about perennials. 

On Tuesday, July 25, Hoffman Nursery's Shannon Currey will highlight grasses and sedges at the symposium. Her talk, "Grasses & Sedges from the Ground Cover Up," will address the pivotal role these plants play in today's landscapes. With a focus on functionality, learn about grasses and sedges for every layer in a landscape and discover where they do their best work.

AmericanHort Production Technology Conference

Oct. 9-11, 2017; Dallas, TX

This conference is a continuation of AmericanHort's GrowPro Series. It focuses on the latest inventions and innovations in production technology. The conference includes a trade show and educational sessions. 

Hoffman Nursery's Nursery Manager Scott Epps and Project Manager David Hoffman will be giving a talk called, "Find Solutions at Every Step." They'll address how the nursery continues to grow in the face of a labor shortage by incorporating automation and building more efficient processes. More detail to follow. 

PGMS School of Grounds Management & GIE+EXPO

October 18-21, 2017; Louisville, KY

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) hosts the School of Grounds Management at this big event for the landscape industry. Educational sessions and tours combine with the GIE + EXPO trade show and concert series.

Hoffman Nursery's Shannon Currey will talk with attendees about grasses and sedges for every layer in the landscape. Catch her talk, "Grasses and Sedges from the Ground Cover Up" on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 3pm to 4:15pm.

IPPS Southern Region 42nd Annual Conference

Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 2017; Dallas, TX

If it's about making more plants, this is the place. The Southern Region of the International Plant Propagators' Society holds their annual conference this year in Dallas. With days filled with talks on research results, techniques, and trials, it's a wealth of information. There are also tours to share knowledge and get to know colleagues.

Hoffman Nursery's Research & Development Horticulturist Leanne Kenealy will be speaking on her experience as last year's international delegate. She soaked up knowledge, met new friends, and had an amazing time. Details to follow.
