  • Growth rate: slow-medium; roots rather quickly, tops are slower to fill out and beef up
  • Grow in 1 or 2 gallon; will take longer to finish in 3 gallon, but looks great in larger sizes
  • Grow in well-drained soil
  • Watering: keep evenly moist, but on the dry side
  • Fertilizing: slow-release fertilizer, low to medium rate
  • Possible pests: aphids, Bactra venosana caterpillar
  • Overwintering: cold frame with clear poly; do not overwater
